A great day of music and smiles at Wairoa School
On Friday 20th May, The Rhythm Village went out to Wairoa School in Bondi for a full day of music workshops with all the wonderful students and staff at this beautiful school. The day of workshops was donated by The Rhythm Village as one of the auction offerings at Variety’s Fine China Fundraiser.
We were welcomed with a lovely morning tea served by some of the year 12 students, followed by a speech introducing the school by Principal Carmel Seeto.
Then, we were ready to drum, sing, dance, play all kinds of percussion instruments and have loads of fun with the students. It was wonderful to see the children enjoying the sessions and we were impressed by some amazingly rhythmic and musically talented students. Thanks to everyone involved for making this a great day for all!
